Terms and conditions
1. Who we are
Wandertails is operated by Wandertails Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore (UEN 202621642D). In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Wandertails Pte Ltd, and “you” means the person using the service. You can reach us at support@wandertails.app.
2. What Wandertails is
Wandertails is an information and planning service. We gather published pet travel requirements from government agencies and present them as a checklist tailored to the route, animal and dates you give us, with the official source linked on each item.
We are not a pet relocation company. We do not transport animals, we do not book flights, we do not act as your agent with any authority, and we do not submit applications for you unless you have separately bought a service where we say we will. We are not a government agency, an airline or a veterinary practice, and we are not affiliated with any of them.
3. Accepting these terms
By using Wandertails you agree to these terms. If you create an account you are asked to confirm that agreement, and we record the date you did. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
4. The information we provide, and its limits
Pet import and export rules change often, differ by country and species, and are applied by individual officials at the border. We take care to keep our information accurate and to cite the official source for every requirement, but we do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current, and we cannot guarantee that any authority, airline or official will accept a document or a plan built from it.
You remain responsible for verifying every requirement with the relevant government authority, airline and veterinarian before you travel. Where our checklist and an official source disagree, the official source is correct. Tell us and we will correct it.
5. Not professional advice
Nothing on Wandertails is legal, veterinary, customs or immigration advice, and nothing on it is a guarantee that your animal will be allowed to travel or to enter a country. Decisions about your pet’s health, fitness to fly and treatment are for a licensed veterinarian who has examined the animal.
6. What you are agreeing to about the information
When you use Wandertails you acknowledge that:
- Requirements change, sometimes without notice. A checklist reflects what the published rules said when it was built.
- We report rules, we do not make them. Wandertails has no authority over any border, airline or vet, and no arrangement with any of them.
- The decision is made by someone else. Your veterinarian decides whether your pet is fit to travel, the airline decides whether it will carry them, and the border official decides whether they may enter. None of them is bound by anything we say.
- You will check against the official source before you act. Every requirement we show links to the authority it came from. Follow it before you act.
- Timing is yours to manage. We calculate deadlines from the dates you give us. If your travel dates change, the plan changes with them, and some steps cannot be rushed.
7. Your account
You need a free account to see a checklist, track progress or share one. We sign you in with a code sent to your email address, so keeping access to that inbox is what keeps your account secure. You must give an address you control, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You can delete your account at any time. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data when you do.
8. Sharing a checklist
You can share a checklist by link. Anyone holding that link can read the checklist, and anyone signed in who holds it can tick tasks off with you. They cannot change the trip, upload documents or share it on. Share the link only with people you want to see your trip details, and lock the checklist when you no longer want it used. Locking makes it private again for everyone holding the link, and unlocking restores the same link rather than issuing a new one.
Anyone who opens your link while signed in gets the checklist saved to their dashboard, on a card naming you as the person who shared it, by your profile name or by your email address if you have not set one.
9. Paid plans
Paid plans are not yet available. When they are, the price, the billing period and what each plan includes will be shown before you pay. Cancellation and refunds are covered by our refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape or republish our checklists or requirement data as your own product;
- use the service to break the law, or to move an animal across a border in breach of the rules;
- attempt to reach accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
- interfere with the service or place unreasonable load on it.
11. Our content, and yours
The design of Wandertails, and the way we organise, sequence and time requirements, is ours. The underlying legal requirements are public information and belong to nobody.
Anything you add stays yours: your pet’s details, your trip, and any documents you upload. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as we need to in order to run the service for you.
12. The service is provided as it is
We provide the service as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, that it will cover every route or animal, or that it will be fit for a particular purpose you have in mind. Where the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, this clause does not affect them.
13. Our responsibility to you
If we breach these terms or are negligent, we are responsible for loss that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss not caused by our breach, or for business losses.
In particular: we are not liable for a refusal, delay, quarantine, cost or other consequence arising because an authority, airline or official did not accept information taken from Wandertails, or because a requirement changed, or because information here was wrong or out of date. That is why clauses 4 and 6 ask you to verify against the official source.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
14. If your use of the service causes us loss
If you use Wandertails in breach of these terms and that causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we face as a result. This is limited to what your breach caused, and it does not apply to anything caused by us.
15. Things outside our control
We are not responsible for failing to provide the service where the cause is outside our reasonable control, for example a failure at a hosting or email provider, a network outage, or a government source going offline. Where that happens we will restore the service as soon as we reasonably can.
16. Ending your use of the service
You can stop using Wandertails and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we must in order to comply with the law. We may also change or withdraw features, and we will give notice where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides.
17. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, email support@wandertails.app and tell us what happened. Tell us also if anything on the site is inaccurate.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one published here when you use the service, and the “last updated” date at the foot of this page will change with it. Where a change materially affects you, we will give notice, by email if you have an account.
19. General
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. These terms are the whole agreement between us about your use of Wandertails. We may transfer our rights and obligations under them to another business, and if we do your rights will not be affected. You may not transfer yours without our agreement. Nobody other than you and us has the right to enforce any part of these terms.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
